Sohoprojects was awarded the contract to renovate and convert a former industrial warehouse in Cremorne, Melbourne for multinational software company MYOB. The brief was to create an inspiring, contemporary space that would encourage collaboration, interaction and innovation. The space also needed to reflect MYOB’s values, brand and unique culture. The extensive on-site works carried out included internal structural steelwork, electrical upgrade and data cabling, extensive LED light installation and thousands square metres of carpet. The internal fit created a mix of multifunctional spaces including informal meeting rooms with booth style seating, creative rooms with flexible furniture, platform spaces for casual meetings and relaxation, and a tiered bleacher style seating area for larger formal and informal staff meetings and gatherings. A major challenge of this project was accessing the internal steel framework in the ceiling, which required a lot of height work.
