Soho Projects partnered with architects Hassell Architects and Bates Smart Architects to work on the Lesley Kehoe Galley , a leading Japanese art dealer, located in one of Melbourne’s most prestigious Locations in the CBD – 101 Collins Street lobby. Standout features included a floating bamboo ceiling, specialised light fittings to emphasise the 10 metre high ceilings of this space. Besides working to a strict budget and challenging timeframe, this project also required us to source a range of specialised materials locally and internationally. We also had to integrate a Japanese aesthetic in a contemporary Western environment to meet LESLEY KEHOE GALLERY’s brief to, ‘create an environment of beauty, that indulges the senses, provokes the intellect, and stirs the heart’
